About Us

Founded in September 2014, Guangzhou Ruitai Biotechnology is a high-tech enterprise that specializes in the research, development, production, and sales of ophthalmic and regenerative medical materials. It has received numerous honors such as "Deloitte China's Rising Star," "Most Capital Market Attention Award," and "Guangdong Province Specialized, Sophisticated, Innovative, and Unique Small and Medium-sized Enterprise." The company currently has nearly 100 employees, 80% of whom hold bachelor's degrees or higher, and all have over five years of industry experience. Its research and development products cover ophthalmic surface, glaucoma, ametropia, orthopedic regenerative materials, and other directions, with 52 authorized patents (including 35 invention patents and 17 utility model patents), and multiple products' technological levels have reached domestic leading and world-class standards.

The company's product research and development transformation center has achieved research and development layouts covering regenerative medical materials, corneal diseases, contact lenses, and other fields. Among them, it has established a "Regenerative Medical Materials Science and Technology Cooperation Base" with the National Biomedical Materials Engineering Technology Research Center of Sichuan University to promote the transformation of regenerative medical materials; jointly established the "Shandong Provincial Engineering Research Center for Corneal Diseases" with Shandong Provincial Eye Hospital to accelerate clinical research on corneal disease treatment; in addition, the company has also established an "Overseas Joint Development Laboratory for Contact Lenses" in Brisbane, Australia, with the globally renowned contact lens research and development organization CAPRICORNIA CONTACT LENS PTY LTD, focusing on the development of contact lenses.

In April 2020, the company independently developed the first active wet state biological amniotic membrane "Ruixiu Fu®" in China Officially launched, it was rated as a "Guangdong Province Famous High tech Product (the first domestic product that can replace imported products)" that year. This product uses a safe and efficient processing technology combined with an exclusively developed amniotic membrane preservation solution to create a biological amniotic membrane with activity similar to fresh amniotic membrane and superior product characteristics to fresh amniotic membrane, with a shelf life of up to 3 years. At present, 26 provinces have completed network deployment, achieving full coverage of 500 tertiary hospitals in China, as well as listed ophthalmic hospitals such as Aier, Huaxia, and He's.

On June 20, 2023, the first scleral mirror in China named"Epicon A®" originally imported by Raytec Biological was approved for market. this product is synchronized with the company's launch of the world's only approved scleral lens care device, "Epjing TM", which forms a complete service cycle solution from scleral lens fitting, cleaning to disinfection.

By the end of 2026, Ruitai Biotechnology will establish the largest industrial research and production base for ophthalmic and orthopedic regenerative medicine in China, with a total investment of hundreds of millions of yuan and an area of 30000 square meters, in Wenjiang Medical City. The research and transformation will cover three major sectors: ocular surface, optometry and glaucoma. Building the largest and most distinctive renewable medical materials industry base in China will undoubtedly benefit thousands of households.

The company has established a research and development team led by Dr. Lin Yongliang, a scientific expert from Guangzhou, with 13 members (including 3 Ph.D. holders and 4 master's degree holders). The team has more than 60 research and development projects, resulting in over 50 patents and more than 10 certified product conversions. Members of the team have successively participated in and undertaken various major science and technology projects, such as the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Guangdong Provincial Science and Technology Plan, and the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Plan,and have solid experience in basic research.

In addition, the company boasts a leading sales team in China, specializing in ophthalmology and characterized by academic promotion, centered around its Co-founder and General Manager, Mr. Xu Hao. With over 5 years of sales experience, the team possesses national ophthalmology KOL resources as well as high-quality and extensive client resources.

In June, the first scleral lens in China, "Epicon A®", was approved for market launch through original introduction. Simultaneously, the company launched the "Epjing TM", the world's only scleral lens-specific care device approved by the US FDA, forming a comprehensive solution for scleral lens fitting, cleaning, and sterilization;

In July, Epicon (Chengdu) Medical Technology Co., Ltd., a joint venture between Guangzhou Raytec Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and CAPRICORNIA CONTACT LENS PTY LTD, a well-known Australian contact lens research and development institution, was officially established in Wenjiang, Chengdu.
